
The Coyote Caller is profiling the Class of 2025 Top 10 seniors. Today, meet Kevin Liu, #8 in the Top 10.
Question: How did you feel when you learned you had earned a spot in the Top 10?
Answer: I felt proud because I knew I could do it.
Q: When did you first realize that you had a realistic opportunity to be in the Top 10?
A: The beginning of freshman year when I started as I had a strong belief in myself from the beginning.
Q: What has motivated you to succeed academically in high school?
A: My ego.
Q: What class has been your most challenging during your high school career? Why has it been challenging?
A: AP Calculus. I had no motivation to do the class as I wanted to business in college and calc is not necessary.
Q: Which teacher would you like to call out specifically for the way he/she inspired you?
A: Mrs. Coots
Q: Why/how has this teacher inspired you?
A: She helped me succeed in junior year when I was slowly losing motivation as she was my first-period teacher that year. I learned the most in her class when I was sleepiest.
Q: Where do you plan on attending college? Why did you choose this particular college?
A: University of Albany because it has a nice campus, close to family and in my home state of New York.
Q: Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
A: Owning a successful business that allows me to live freely.
Q: Who else would you like to thank for your academic success?
A: My mom, as at home she very lenient in letting me do things on my own time and not forced.
Q: What advice would you give to students who would like to emulate your success?
A: As long as you have enough confidence to do something, you’re more likely to succeed.
